The new TX PRO's range of motion in walk mode is said to be 62°. By comparison, the previous model had a range of 22°. As expected, walking with crampons on was easy. As for downhill skiing... well, that's about it. In ski mode, you make a 1-2, 1-2 type turn by bouncing. It feels like a telemark turn. In walk mode, it's the usual B-tele type. I guess ski mode is probably the normal mode when going downhill, so skiing in walk mode is probably just a gimmick. It's just my preference, though.
